The maiden experience of buying a home can be nerve-racking; which is why Jos Alukkas Properties has put together a few guidelines.

  Scrutinise the paperwork – This can be one of the trickiest parts of buying a house. Analyse the promises made by the builder. Learn the difference between sq. feet, built up and super built up area. Make sure you get a written acknowledgement for all the payments you make. Read, re-read and get the terms and conditions in the sale agreement inspected by a legal expert before you sign the deed. You will also need to get the property registered under your name at a local authority. Ensure you have all the paperwork sorted and filed for quick access at all times. Keep copies too at another safe spot.
